The Balfour Castle, despite its name, is actually not a castle, but rather a five-star hotel on the small island of Shapinsay in Orkney, United Kingdom. The exterior's regal-looking towers and spires give the perfect preview for the lavishly decorated Victorian interior. But fear not, the property's forest is far from forbidden, and was designed simply to provide privacy for the hotel.

Once the home of Bavarian royalty, the grounds were open to the public in 1886 and attracts over a million visitors a year, according to the castle's website. The design is the inspiration for the Disney theme parks' "Cinderella Castle," and clearly resembles the Hogwarts castle, especially in the winter. Yule Ball, anyone?
